# Reef Label

> The independent reference for reef-safe sunscreen. Which sunscreens are legal where: product-by-product active ingredients checked against every reef-protection sunscreen law we track, with sources and dates.

Reef Label is independent and takes no payment from brands. Ingredient lists are copied from manufacturer Drug Facts panels and DailyMed; laws are read from the enacted text and linked on each location page. "Reef safe" is a marketing term, not a legal one; this site reports what each law actually bans.
